Scale Ripper is one of Kliff Undersn's Special Attacks, first appearing in the original Guilty Gear and in all subsequent games that he appears in.

Overview[]

Kliff rapidly jabs his Dragonslayer above himself by methodically swinging his sword back and forth with quick, short motions, likely used to rapidly peel/shred-off the scales of a dragon's hide.

After use, he gets exhausted briefly. The move originally inflicts normal pushback on hit with it able to juggle victims in midair (albeit they'll eventually get forced out of it by being knocked too far away). The upwards angle is meant to also imply it being useful as an anti air.

Plus R however, updates the hit effects of the move to always knockdown with small launch floats even on grounded hit, allowing the attacks hitboxes to "suck-in" the foe into being tossed back-and-forth between the hits, though the rest of the hits might end up becoming invalid and allows for an easy tech-out when the opponent is shoved at the peak.
