Personality[]
Despite his fearsome appearence and brutal fighting style, Raoh seems to be quite caring towards Zappa, as shown when he attempted to comfort him in one of his endings.
Story[]
Very little is known about Raoh, but he seems to be the spirit of an ancient warrior,[1] who was a blind military commander from China.[3] It is unknown when he attached itself to Zappa, but ever since he did so, Raoh has protected him. One such occasion was following Zappa's escape from a house where he inadvertently draw the ire of a Robo-Ky (whom Zappa mistook for a lifelike doll) due to the other ghosts defending him and burning the house.[4] Thinking the danger had passed, Zappa fell asleep, but Robo-Ky caught up with him, intending to make him pay for ruining his lodging. Before he could wake Zappa up, Raoh appeared and presumably did away with the robot.[2]
Abilities[]
Only manifesting when Zappa's orbs have reached maximum, Raoh mainly attacks by punching and uppercutting due to the lack of a lower body.
Trivia[]
- Raoh is named after the character of the same name from Fist of the North Star.
- He has been described as 武将 (bushō?).[3] In Japanese history, it is mostly used for a outstanding warriors from the late Heian period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period and the early days of the Edo period.[5]
