Rainwater, originally known as Thunder Shadow Chain/Raiei Sageki (雷影鎖撃, Rai'ei Sageki?, lit. Thunder Shadow Chain Attack) is one of Axl Low's Special Attacks, first appearing in the original Guilty Gear and has been a staple of his moveset since.
Overview[]
Originally, Axl leaps up and off the screen, then falls back down while rapidly spinning one of his sickles around beneath him, and lands on his front via prat-fall. This would go on to be the version in the Guilty Gear X & XX series, and can Axl's landing spot can be directed left or right while off-screen.
The version/
+
has Axl leap high and forward, with intent to strike the opponent from the rear by sending out one of his sickles as he front flips.
In Guilty Gear -Strive-, he hops backwards while swinging a sickle around with intent to strike from behind, pulling his opponent closer.
