Needle Spike is one of Ky Kiske's Special Attacks, first appearing in the original Guilty Gear.
It was replaced by Crescent Slash in Guilty Gear X, but returned as part of Ky's EX moveset in Guilty Gear XX.
Overview[]
Ky performs an overhead forward somersaulting slash into a swinging heel drop kick. In Guilty Gear X however, Ky lands on his foe with his feet first instead of outright kicking.
In Guilty Gear XX, the animation is instead changed to being a single-spinning slash into a forward hopping side kick, mirroring Sol's Bandit Revolver (midair version omits the initial slash) while also inflicting a horizontal knockdown state instead (wall bounces or wall-sticks on counter hit). When holding , it transitions into Greed Sever instead to parallel the Bandit Bringer.
