Guilty Gear Begin is a light novel written by Kasuya Negishi, with original planning, supervision, and illustrations by Daisuke Ishiwatari. Set in 2016, it depicts events following Frederick's conversion into a Gear and how he found himself trapped in the Gear Project's research facility.
Published in book format by Kadokawa, the novel also comes in a e-pub version, released in January 22, 2018.[1]
