Goldlewis Dickinson's coffin is a weapon in the Guilty Gear series that made its debut in Guilty Gear -Strive-. The coffin contains a mysterious entity, called a "cryptid" by Goldlewis himself, although it seems to be an extraterrestrial.
Design[]
The large, six-sided coffin is of gothic design, made out of dark brown, wood-like material with metallic ornate designs and four door knocker-like rings on its sides. The ring on the top-right side has a large metal chain attached to it, which allows Goldlewis to swing it around and carry it on his shoulder. The coffin's top and bottom have nine blunt spikes, similar to a meat tenderizer. The lid has two silver spikes on each side, on which a sign reading 'AREA 51 - UNITED STATES' is bolted on, whilst an extra-terrestrial warning sign is stamped on.
Being hidden within the coffin, the only parts seen of the entity's body are its arms, which are lanky and seems to be composed of a luminous azure material.
Abilities[]
The coffin itself seems to be extremely durable, since Goldlewis can create a crater on the ground by slamming (as seen in his standing attack). However, it strength lies on the powers held by the 'mysterious life-form' it contains.[1] It is able to open the coffin's lid and assist Goldlewis with a single arm, or make multiple ones, as seen in his jumping and aerial Throw attacks.
The seemingly-extraterrestrial entity is capable of providing Goldlewis with various items that far surpass the current technological level,[2] and can materialize a gatling gun, aerial explosives, or even a rubber chicken. Another of its powers seem the ability to tamper with telecommunication, shown to be able to call Goldlewis and distract him whilst the defeated enemy is abducted.
