Bellows Malice is one of Zappa's Overdrive Attacks, appearing in Guilty Gear XX.
Overview[]
Zappa has Raou swing a large hammer downwards, releasing myriad crescent moon-shaped electrical projectiles in an arch.
When Robo-Ky II uses this technique, he only stays still in his idle pose instead of making a flashy pose akin to Zappa, and in the place of Raou summons a robotic-avatar version of Leap via only her upper torso, flinging giant-metallic octopus sausages with robot faces in the place of the lightning orbs from Raou's hammer.
This attack while it normally cannot connect fully, is still a near-impossible Overdrive to take on for the foe given the massive arc of the electrical blasts, which amounts to a hefty amount of damage that is near-impossible to avoid without a specialized dodging mechanic of sorts that characters rarely have access to.
Even if blocked, Bellows Malice inflicts a large amount of chip damage on top of draining a ton of the defender's Tension should they block it with Faultless Defense. Overall, this move adds to the reward of being able to summon Raou for the short duration he is able to last for.
Though for all of its massive boons, Bellows Malice still has a major blindspot in front of Zappa/Robo-Ky II, and proper spacing is often required to insure maximum damage is reaped from this attack as missing with it lead to a major free punish landed on Zappa himself (and thus possible instant loss of access to Raou).

Trivia[]
- Bellows Malice is a mixed reference between the U.S. metal band "Malice" and the Visual Kei Rock group "Malice Mizer".
- The hammer Raou uses is reminiscent of Mjolnir, the signature tool of the Norse god of thunder, Thor.
