Trivia[]

  • The move's name is derived from the Iron Maiden song of the same name.
    • Aces high is a term in hold 'em Poker where a player receives a hand that amounts to no combo, but has an Ace which has the highest value of all playing cards (the King being the second-highest; not counting the Joker which is not used in such style of Poker).
  • A similar looking, unnamed overdrive is performed by Kakusei Ky in Isuka, which is also dubbed as Ride the Lightning (Reverse). The only difference is that the startup flash pose uses the Impala Hunt like with Robo-Ky's Whac-KY Blow, and has an extended sequence if it connects (midair Vapor Thrust, Kiriharai, then Greed Sever that leaves behind a jumping Dust spark and inflicts wallbounce).
    • Also unlike the original Aces High, Kakusei Ky's version ends earlier with the original animation if the rising portion whiffs.
  • The #Reload-onwards Robo-Ky's Whac-KY Blow functions very similarly to it in regards to having the same input, aside from the blatant animation copying.
